The Clyde Test House

"We strive to create an environment that encourages innovative thinking and allows our people to solve problems through experimentation"

Brian Snowdon, Engineering Director

Residing within Clyde Materials Handling's UK base, the Clyde Test House is recognised as being the most advanced material testing facility in Europe, if not the world.

As leading experts in pneumatic conveying and injection technology, which is complemented with extensive domain and process knowledge of many industries, Clyde has created a testing facility that is the envy of its competitors.

The Clyde Test House is used to support the creation of solutions that resolve issues that can be faced when conveying and/or injecting materials within the vast array of sectors Clyde operates within.

Similarly, the Clyde Test House can be used in a consultative capacity to help test the effectiveness of existing systems or to determine how a material behaves when transported pneumatically.

Clyde has an extensive materials database covering some 10,000 samples where characteristics such as particle size, distribution, shape, porosity, bulk density, temperature, moisture content, fragility and air retentiveness have been carefully measured and the most suitable conveying method determined.
