Clyde Industrial Technologies

Overview:

The Clyde Industrial Technologies Division of Clyde Materials Handling (CMH) provides low energy, low maintenance and environmentally enhanced material handling solutions for customers who operate in a range of markets which include food, chemicals and rail maintenance.

CMH specialises in providing dense phase pneumatic conveying, pneumatic injection and air filtration solutions that strive to reduce energy and maintenance costs, reduce the emission of dust and harmful pollutants while helping customers to improve productivity.

The Clyde Industrial Technologies Division’s depth of process expertise covers a wide ranger of process industries, where CMH’s dense phase pneumatic conveying and pneumatic injection technologies have been implemented to reduce energy and emissions, whilst maximising process performance and productivity.

Process Expertise:

The Clyde Industrial Technologies Division has deployed its expertise across the following industrial markets:
  • Food
  • Chemicals
  • Rail Maintenance
  • Pharmaceuticals
Applications:

Clyde Materials Handling’s dense phase pneumatic conveying and pneumatic injection technologies were developed to provide a simple, reliable, efficient and accurate method of transporting materials to either single or multiple reception points within plant or directly to process.

CMH’s range of dense phase conveying solutions have the capability to transport typically difficult, abrasive materials at rates over 300 tonnes/hour, up to distances of 1.5 miles and at temperatures up to 450°C, all within a single conveying pipeline.

CMH’s range of pneumatic injection solutions have the capability to inject material volumetrically with accuracy of ±2% or gravimetrically to ±0.5% by weight. Containment backpressures of up to 50 barg can be accommodated by CMH’s pneumatic injection technology, with injection distances limited simply by the available conveying pressure.

CMH’s dense phase pneumatic conveying and injection technologies have been applied successfully within industrial markets to:
  • Transport foodstuffs in a dust-free, energy efficient manner within human and petfood producing processes
  • Convey a wide range of chemicals within the detergent manufacturing process
  • Inject sand into the sandboxes of trains and metropolitan trams – sand is used to improve vehicle traction in slippery / wet weather conditions and can act as an aid in braking from high speeds
  • Transport a wide varieties of tablets, powders, granules, flake or even liquids for some of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies

Through its alliance with its sister company, MAC Equipment, Clyde Materials Handling is now able to offer a wide range of air filtration technologies for an array of process industries.

Clyde Materials Handling has been developing dust collection systems to meet regulations and enhance plant air quality. Experienced engineers can evaluate the nature and scope of  any air filtration problem. With an array of dust collectors that includes pulse jet, reverse air, medium-pressure controlled cleaning, cartridge and HEPA systems, Clyde can now solve virtually all industrial air pollution problems.
